Seeking inspiration is a very important part of the job as you never want your designs to be left behind. This leads me on to our next point.Īs previously mentioned, you should always be looking for new trends and that will be involved when you are looking for inspiration, whether it be a new or old project. Trends are very important to be aware of however you must not lose sight of developing your own style, having a unique style and individuality will make you stand out as a new creative. Countless evenings have been spent just scrolling through Awwwards or Dribbble and exploring what’s new and what’s trending. Being up to date with the latest trends and adapting them to fit your style is an important trait for a new creative. With anything, there is a constant stream of new trends where some stay and some come and go. If you’re not very experienced in any of these then here’s a list of resources that you can use (personal favorite is Youtube, can really find anything on there): Want to go into brand design? then Adobe Illustrator will be perfect for you. Want to do web design? then Figma or Sketch will be the best bet.
